What makes our teaching unique?
One simple answer is that all instructors are students themselves. All instructors take lessons and/or attend workshops and travel to various places to dance. We take great pride in continuing our own learning. It is important to all of us that we continue to learn and grow as both dancers and as teachers.

Jenni Calhoun
Jenni has been teaching dance for about two years, and has been dancing for about four. She began swing dancing at her best friend's suggestion and fell in love. She started with Lindy Hop and was soon learning to lead as well as follow. After studying Lindy Hop, she then began taking lessons in Blues. After studying Blues for about a year, she went back to her first love, Lindy Hop, and has been working on improving both her technique and creativity.

Derek Mast
Derek has been dancing for years, and has discovered and fully embraced the joy of giving back by teaching what he's learned. His journey began in high school with annual swing dance social events, and then began to blossom right before graduation after learning of regular swing dances in his area. That opened the door to not only Lindy Hop, but also blues dancing and other forms of swing (Charleston, Collegiate Shag, Balboa). He travels to dancing events around and outside PA as often as he can, and soaks up as much information as possible. He loves to share his passion with others as a teacher, and one of his favorite things is watching the lightbulb click on for a student.

Alan Hatz
Alan has been teaching dance for over ten years. He used to teach ballroom dance at Arthur Murray dance studio. Since leaving Arthur Murray, he has been teaching private and group lessons in a relaxed environment.
Alan is excited to be teaching and can't wait to help you become a better dancer.

Amber Albright
Amber discovered ZUMBA at her local gym 2 years ago. She was looking for a different type of cardio after training for a ½ marathon. She was hooked from the first class! She loved that ZUMBA was a non-judgmental environment and that her instructor was eager to help. She became an instructor in February of 2012 and still loves every minute of it!
